![]() One of the many graffiti in Cumberland. - Anthony Minott C4 distances self from Cumberland graffiti Romeo Roomes of C4 International, an entertainment group based in Portmore, have hit out against 'overzealous' fans who are using graffiti to spread the name of his organisation. The group told THE PORTMORE STAR that they, in no shape or form, have anything to do with the graffiti and subsequent defacing of places in Cumberland. "We have observed the growth in our fan base and the support has been encouraging. We recognise that with the nature of this business it is imperative that due care and responsibility be maintained, and while the encouragement of our fans is welcoming; their support for our organisation ought to reflect the same sense of responsibility we endeavour to emulate," Roomes said. "Unfortunately, some of our overzealous fans, as a means of showing their support, have marred some areas in the community with graffiti. This is unacceptable, and our management team will be working alongside the Cumberland Citizens' Association throughout the community to repaint the surfaces that have been defaced." Meanwhile, since its inception, C4 International has been doing well in the entertainment sector as they endeavour to make their name synonymous with excellence and positive ventures and continue to grow in the music and entertainment industry. "As our motto states, 'Unification Through Music', C4 has been contributing and giving back to the community of our birth. We have made donations to the Cumberland Community Centre and its youth club and have partnered with the Cumberland Citizens' Association to make our brand known for its worth throughout this community." C4 International has progressively managed to stage numerous events in Cumberland, and they have been well attended. Last December, they hosted their most famous activity, a double event for children and adults. At the 'kiddie's treat' they catered for more than 500 children and provided them with treats and rides all day. "The adults were not to be left out as they had a chance to enjoy themselves with a night event called 'Wedge vs Heels' which was a great success and has helped with establishing our name," Roomes said. This Easter, C4 International will be hosting their annual Easter party 'Hawaiian Escape' the ultimate, all-white party at the Cumberland Community Centre today. "In order for these events to be successful, we have again partnered with several corporations. Our Hawaiian Escape Ultimate All-White party will transform the Cumberland Community Centre into a tropical paradise, with mixed liquor, beer, chocolate fountain, fruit delights, all will be available," he said. Entertainment will be provided by C4 Sound with DJ's Bogie, Lava & Tweetybird and 'di juggling sensations' from Suncity DJs. "It's an experience not to be missed," Roomes expressed. |
