![]() A group of girls pose at the party. - Anthony Minott Close friends, family and well-wishers came out in support of veteran disc jockey Desmond 'Dessi' Reid, the owner of award-winning Portmore-based sound system Flava Unit, at his birthday party at the Lipstick Lounge in Bayside recently. The party was sponsored by Guinness. Artistes such as Specialist, Macka Diamond, and the fast-rising Tiana were in the house. The party vibes were enhanced by the Guinness girls, and Flava Unit duo of Matthew 'Badda Bling' Mothersill and Akeel 'Little Rich' Harris, alongside guest selectors. Dessi's close friend and the sound manager, David 'Tall Man' Scott was also in the house and mingled with patrons. There was also a special guest in the house in the figure of Father Brown, who gave Dessi his first stint on a sound system, Soul Signal. Dessi used this medium to commend the Flava Unit team for their hard work and dedication since its inception and promised that the best is yet to come.
