![]() Leon Lewis - file With a hit single which has been receiving rave reviews, Kemar Lewis, who goes by the stage name Leon Lewis, has been making strides on the music scene. Hailing from the parish of Kingston, the singjay has gained a wealth of experience in his own right as an artiste. While entering contests and clashes at his former school, Camperdown High, Leon Lewis' passion for music has blossomed since then. The multitalented artiste later threw his hat into writing music, which propelled him further by entering contests such as the RE TV Talent Search and Magnum King and Queens of Dancehall in 2011. This gave Leon the exposure needed as an upcoming artiste in the industry. In a press release sent to The STAR by Aces Music Media, it stated that Leon wanted to assure his fans that he has a true passion for music, that he is here to stay and that he is very committed to the pursuit of a successful career in music, which his fans locally and internationally will surely enjoy. Dedicated Leon Lewis recently signed with Aces Music Media, which is a vibrant, talented team of professionals who are dedicated and driven to producing timeless, quality music. This was proven with Leon Lewis' latest project, a video for the single Hopeless State directed by Above and Beyond Production, which was produced by Aces Music Media, composed by J Crazy and mixed by Dr Marshall "Trust me, the concept of this video is what gives it at an edge, fans love it, the concept is about a young couple with a son, and the child's mother decides to give up on the relationship and leaves and threatens to take the child away." shared Leon Lewis. However, other projects done by the artistes such as Caan Guh Easy and Time Alone, have both been rotating heavily on the airwaves. The artiste has also been making appearances at events, the most recent being the Best Dressed Chicken Marathon, held on Saturday, at Hope Gardens, where he threw the crowd into a frenzy. "I am definitely looking forward to more shows for the year. Also, I am already lined up for some shows in the summer," said Lewis. When asked what are his plans for the rest of the year, he replied, "I am aiming to create positive music, that will impact the youths of Jamaica and around the world. Fans can look out for new music that will create a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of the people."
