United States-based record label Official Hitz Music Group (OHMG) has signed DJ Lynxx to its company, which will make him the first disc jockey to sign for the group since its inception in 2010.

The deal will see the 22-year-old and former Renaissance selector, act as the resident DJ for the label's flagship artiste Black Mattic and to work alongside its producers in all future projects the label undertakes.

OHMG is a New York-based record company, which is owned by the Jamaican-born international dancehall star Black Mattic. To date, the label has released several projects, including Black Mattic's smash hit Superstar. The label is currently working on the deejay's sophomore album, Black Label.

DJ Lynxx, born Dwight Leach, grew up in Kingston and attended Dunoon Technical before he migrated to the United States. He's a relative of Renaissance's Delano Thomas and as such, played on the popular sound system occasionally before his overseas move.

He is currently working for 12-Stream radio, which is a popular online station in New York. On his latest musical venture, DJ Lynxx is very excited because, particularly to him, OHMG has been doing fantastic work over the last couple of months.

"I have been hearing some of their songs and I am very impressed. I made a quick shout-out on Twitter and things began to pick up gradually," he said. "To me, Black Mattic as an entertainer is very impressive, and being from a music background I can definitely relate to and identify with great talent. The label has shown they can make it because they are very talented, they have flow, they have a nice style as well."

Black Mattic echoed most of DJ Lynxx's sentiment. He also believes both parties will benefit tremendously. "DJ Lynxx has a growing fan base. His style resembles what OHMG is about and I think this will be a very fruitful relationship," he said.
