Music marketing expert Sean 'Contractor' Edwards has been given the monumental task of marketing the giant R&B group The Manhattans for their Mother's Day concert To Mom With Love.

The concert will be held on the lawns of Jamaica House on Sunday, May 12, and will feature acts such as Rose Royce, John Holt, Karen Smith, Nature, The Silver Birds and more.

The event has already started to generate a buzz as Contractor, who also does music marketing for Downsound Records, has designed a web banner for The Manhattans show, which he has placed on several key social-media sites and on the websites of Irie and Zip FMs, two of the island's most popular radio stations.

According to Contractor, who is also an active reggae artiste, the show is currently being promoted to millions across the world. Approximately two million people will see the banner on the radio stations up until the day of the event. Also, the show will reach another three million through all the media outlets under RJR Communications Group.

Contractor said he is humbled to have been entrusted with such a significant task. "I am very pleased and very humbled at the same time. This, however, does show that my work in music marketing is not going unnoticed and as usual, I will do all that's possible to help make this event a successful venture," he said.

The Manhattans are a popular American R&B vocal group, with a string of hit songs which spans four decades. Their best known multimillion-selling albums are KissandSay Goodbye and Shining Star in 1980.
