St catherine police investigate beating of student by teacher |

The Bog Walk police in St Catherine have launched an investigation into the alleged injury of a student during a beating at a school by a teacher. It is reported that last Wednesday the student was at school. The teacher was in a class and decided to instilled disciplinary measures and asked the students to kneel. The student reportedly refused saying that he didn't deserve to be punished. The female teacher then got physical and began beating the child. During the beating, the child reportedly suffered several cuts to his left hand and upper body. medical examination A relative told The STAR that the matter was reported to the police. The student was taken to the Linstead Hospital for medical examination. It was confirmed by the police that an investigation is under way in the matter. Calls to the school proved futile as the phone rang without an answer. |
