|||||
International recording artiste Jah Cure is pleased with the public's response to the video for his popular single 'That Girl', which was released over the weekend in Jamaica to rave reviews. The video is now in rotation on CVM, HYPE, MD TV, and RE TV. "I believe in this song so much that I just had to do a video. People have been asking me for the video on Facebook and Twitter over the last few weeks, so this video is for my fans who love the That Girl song," he said. The singer performed in Dubai late last year, and he has been getting great feedback from that reggae-loving city regarding That Girl, which is distributed by his own Iyah Cure Productions label. "Two of the biggest disc jockeys from Dubai, DJ Pee Wee and DJ Crown Prince, have told me via Twitter in the past couple of weeks that this song is huge in that part of the world, with the biggest radio stations putting it on their playlists," he said. Jah Cure has been in high demand, and he is booked for two shows in Guyana for the Easter weekend, and he will headline a major show in Kenya this summer. The singer's World Cry album was released digitally worldwide late last year. The album has registered excellent sales worldwide, hitting the #2 spot on the reggae iTunes chart in two countries and charting in the top five in several others. The album charted at #2 in France, #2 in the US, and #3 in the UK on the reggae iTunes charts. The album, distributed by Fontana Distribution, takes its name and logo from the Fontana Records label initially launched by Universal Music Group in 2004, but eventually sold to digital music distributor INgrooves. Jah Cure remains one of the top reggae acts from Jamaica, performing on 10 sold-out shows all over the Caribbean and Europe over the last 18 months. Recently, the singer's Unconditional Love hit, featuring Phyllisia, passed the impressive threshold of over five million hits on YouTube so far. "The brand is strong right now," he said.
