UTech students to host 27th annual Human Resource Management Seminar

After playing host to a rather successful iCandy party, held at the Waterfalls on March 2, the human resource management students at the University of Technology (UTech), will on March 21, 2013 stage their 27th annual Human Resource Management Seminar at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston.

The seminar, set to begin at 10:50 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m., will be hosted under the theme 'Raising Standards to Ensure Organisational Efficiency in a Global Environment'.

Robert Gregory, chairman of the Firearm Licensing Authority, will address the 100 anticipated human resource practitioners, aspiring practitioners and other professionals who will be in attendance.

raising funds

On March 2 a small group of students from the university's Human Resource department, came together and hosted iCandy, an event which was used primarily as a medium to raise cash to fund the seminar.

The event, which was sponsored mainly by Campari, was a huge success justifying the assurance that was given by spokesperson Serina Moulton a week prior to the event.

DJ Narity ensured that patrons who entered on general admission $1,200 and VIP $1,500 were treated to a musical bliss while the promoters had regular intervals with giveaways, making the 'Red & White' edition event a memorable experience for those attended.

The seminar is organised by the final-year students in the Bachelor of Administration programme at UTech.
