Rasbert Turner, Star Writer
An ancillary worker of a St Catherine-based school is to face the court on assault charges after she allegedly pinched a 10-year-old student. It is reported that on February 28, the student was at school when he allegedly threw leaves from a book through a window. This action is said to have caught the attention of the worker who went to the class where the child was. It is reported that the child was instructed by a teacher to pick up the leaves from the book. While walking to pick them up, he was pinched on the back of his shoulder. The mother of the child was contacted and she went to the school and confirmed the incident. She subsequently took the child to seek medical attention. The matter was reported to the Spanish Town police station and investigation resulted in charges against the worker. She is booked to appear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on March 26. |
