Reggae/dancehall artiste Wayne Wonder says he is all set for his performance at the Behind the Screen event to be held at Tracks and Records tonight. The artiste, whose last big performance in the island was at Reggae Sumfest 2011, told THE STAR that he initially heard about the show through Shaggy. "I don't always get a chance to express my art the right way, so I pick and choose the shows I perform on. Shaggy told me about the event and said it have a nice vibes, so from there the interest developed," Wayne Wonder said. The No Letting Go singer will be backed by the Tantrum band and fans, will see the artiste delivering some of his classics along with his more recent hits. "My philosophy is that without the fans, there is no me. So I ask Jah to make my music ARP - always ready for play. Some songs are fiery hot one minute and next minute it's cold. It has no longevity. I just want to make music with substance," he added. In the meantime, he is also gearing up for the release of his newest album Sweet Songs. "I'm a rolling stone, so I'm always on the road. I released the album My Way independently and it has been doing fairly well. I was sick and tired of the record company's bureaucracy. I went on tour with Beres Hammond last year and he said I should keep singing sweet songs, so that's what I named this new album," he said. Sweet Songs will feature live one-drop music and will be released in August.
