Members of the Operational Support Team of the Black River police seized approximately 70 pounds (31.8 kilograms) of ganja on the Parrotte main road in St Elizabeth between Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Reports from the Black River police are that between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., an operation was conducted by the police in areas of south St Elizabeth. A motor car was intercepted on the main road, searched and the ganja found.

No arrests were made as the driver escaped, however, investigations are ongoing.
