Today, we continue with our buzz-worthy feature, Paternity Puzzle. We have chosen one lucky person for a free DNA test.

"I just want to know the truth" that's what 25-year-old Blake Hutchinsona merchandiser from Portmore, St Catherine, told THE STAR when he called our office requesting to participate in the paternity puzzle.

Blake told THE STAR that he was in a relationship with the alleged mother of his child, 26-year-old Alecia Bloomfield, for some five years, after the couple met at the supermarket in which they were both employed.

According to Blake, the two had an argument and Bloomfield left their place of abode and shortly after moved in with another man. He told THE STAR that a few months later, she contacted him stating that she was pregnant.

The child, a girl, is now seven months old.

Blake: "We broke up before I knew she was pregnant, by the time she called, she was in another relationship, she wanted to come back to my home during her pregnancy but I told her no."

Alecia: "I found out I was pregnant in January 2012, I left him in October 2011. I told him that I was pregnant for him but he didn't believe me."

She continued: "He told me that if the baby born in July is his, but if the baby born in August is not his, my baby was born on the 16th of July."

When asked who the baby resembles, both Blake and Alecia agreed that the baby resembles Blake, according to the pair, the baby has Blake's eyes, complexion and a lump on the ear.

But despite these similarities, the baby is registered in another man's name.

Alecia: "Blake wasn't there for me during the pregnancy. So I gave the baby to the other man since he was there, the baby is registered in the other man's name."

Blake: "I know I wasn't there during her pregnancy, but if the baby turns out to be mine I want her. I want to make up for all the times I wasn't there for her, I'll even repay the other man all the money he spent to take care of her."

Alecia: "This has caused a strain on my current relationship, me and the man who the baby is registered in are no longer together."

Both Blake and Alecia told THE STAR they need to know the true paternity of the child, so they can move on with their lives.
