Under-17s step up preparation for CONCACAF tourney |

![]() Jamaica's Alvas Powell (centre). - File Marc Stamp, Star Writer Jamaica's national Under-17 men's squad continue preparation for the CONCACAF Championship with a training camp starting today at the Jamaica Football Federation Academy at the University of the West Indies. The camp is set to break on February 17. The CONCACAF Under-17 Championship will be staged in Panama City, April 6 to 19. The squad represents players selected from scouting locally and internationally, as well as practice games and training camps held after they qualified from the Caribbean stage last April. The squad, who are currently engaged in the KSAFA Syd Bartlett League, will tackle Stony Hill tomorrow at Maverley playing field, starting at 3:30 p.m. Full squad They have been using the Corporate Area third division as preparation for the CONCACAF Championship. The full squad for the training camp reads: Akean Shackleton, Allando Brown, Antonio Greg, Courtney Dowdie, Chavez Brooks, Donald Francis, I'ismale Currie, Imani Beckford, Raffique Bryan, Junior Flemmings, Kaseem Wedderburn, Alex Cummings, Kyle Anderson, Tyshan Hill, Maalique Foster, Nathaniel Leslie, Oneil Anderson, Roshane Sharpe, Ryan Miller, Roshane McClymont, Siegel Knight, Malcolm Stewart, Zacary Jones, Nicholas Nelson and Khalil Stewart. Wendell Downswell is the coach, while Omar Edwards is his assistant.
