The STAR Awards

Last month THE STAR, The People Paper, conducted a poll in an effort to pick the top persons in dancehall and reggae music for 2012.

Twenty-two persons were chosen as winners of various categories, including Bounty Killer for Male Artiste of the Year and Junior Gong's Affairs of the Heart for Song of the Year.

It's now time to present these awards to the winners. So on Tuesday, February 26, THE STAR will be presenting trophies and certificates to these winners at an exclusive function sponsored by Red Label Wine. However, our avid readers will not be left out as the event will also be streamed live on our website, jamaica-star.com.

But before we get to that point, we also have three new categories for you our loyal readers to pick the winners. These winners will be announced at the event on February 26.
