Relatives of a 13-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by four young men over an entire weekend is furious that since the matter has been reported to the police, none of the males have been taken into custody.

The incident reportedly occurred the last weekend of January in a St Catherine community.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the incident has been reported to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

One of the young men who has been implicated in the incident is said to be visiting the teenage girl's home to brag about the matter and to make death threats.

It is reported that she had left school two Fridays ago, and went to one of her male friend's home.

Further reports are that the male friend had sex with the teenage girl, and then went for four of his other male friends to have sex with her.

It is reported that the teenage girl, who had refused to have sex with the other young men, was held against her will at the St Catherine-based home for the entire weekend.

THE STAR understands that she was seen by her school bus driver the following Monday, wandering on a main road in the parish.

Contacted last evening, Detective Inspector Webster Francis of CISOCA confirmed that a report was made about the incident, and said that no arrests have been made.

"We can confirm that a report has been made at our office, but right now I cannot speak to why is it an arrest has not been made. However, what I can say is that a team is out there presently investigating this matter," the senior cop said.

The relative who spoke with THE STAR, said that they are not satisfied with the pace of the investigations. "The matter has been reported over a week now, and the young men are still seen about the place. Something needs to be done about it, because we have furnished the police with all that we know," the relative said.

The school bus driver who reportedly found her wandering said that the teenager girl needs some professional help. "She has walked away from home several times, from what I understand, but she needs the help because I heard that she is being taunted about the incident. I really don't know how the information got out," the young girl's school bus driver told us.
