Rasbert Turner, Star Writer
A St Catherine motorist who was accosted for road traffic breaches and tried to prevent the police from seizing his car is now facing additional charges. The incident unfolded at a Texaco service station on Young Street in Spanish Town on Tuesday. The normally busy location got more frenzied after the motorist laid under his car to prevent it from being towed. About 5:30 p.m., the traffic police held on to a Toyota Corolla motor car for operating contrary to its licence. A tow truck was called in to move the vehicle. The driver then came out of the car and laid under the front for several minutes. He moved under the side between the rear and front wheels. Despite calls by the police for him to let go of the vehicle, he continued to resist. It took reinforcements to eventually force him from under the vehicle. He was eventually taken away by the police. |
