After weeks of suspense which eventually came over into the new year, the highly anticipated result for December's winner (Cop Fights To Own Child) of THE STAR Paternity Puzzle feature is finally here.

Policeman Leon Grant, 42, anxiously sought closure, as he grew impatient with the behaviour of his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend Tiana Scott, as it relates to being truthful about a one-year-and-three-month-old child he was led to think belonged to him.

After turning up three positive results in months leading up to November, THE STAR paternity puzzle unfortunately returned a negative result for December, indicating that Grant is not the father of Scott's child.

answering phone

Incidentally, when the results were being revealed, Grant was the only one present to obtain the document as he disclosed to THE STAR, "Yeah man, since we went to do the test at the hospital, she missing, not answering her phone, and not taking my calls, I guess we all know now why she hiding."

THE STAR also tried without success to speak with Scott, as calls to her phone went to her voicemail.

As you may remember from their previous interview, Scott was the one who told THE STAR that she first wanted to do a DNA test, however, Grant was hesitant until finally agreeing to a test.

She said then, "You know from when me want do a DNA, and him tell mi say that him nah do none cause a his child."

Grant countered at that point in time saying, "No, a because she say a mine, now she switch a say a next man own."

Now that the result is in, Grant says he has finally gotten closure.

In a softer than usual tone, he expressed, "What I really wanted to know is whether or not is my child, I was supporting this child on the pretence that is mine."

Ideally, THE STAR wanted to get the post-test reaction from Scott, however, her availability to respond to our calls still posed an issue.

Grant was asked if he was interested in getting the news to her and he replied, "I am going to have to get to her because she still needs to know, I am going to have to try link her father or her sister and try get to her."

closure

The two had expressed to THE STAR that they are no longer involved and both agreed that the result would bring closure to the matter, and everybody can live happily ever after.

THE STAR put forward the thought to Grant asking if things would be just that and he said, "At the end of the day, because she use to show up at my office with the belly and call mi from the hospital, a lot of people thought it true to be my child ... but mi just ago work with the result and let things remain as it is."

Grant in closing said, "I feel satisfied because a how things did set up and we all wanted to know ... I was a bit attached to the child, so I jus kind of concerned about her well-being."

Scott in the pre-test interview stated boldly that, "Honestly, mi wouldn't mind it swing his (Grant's) way still. But mi know in my heart it's not his. A di other yute own. With Grant as her father she would be better off in a lot of ways because the next man can only give love and care, plus him nuh really
