Tarrus Riley and Blak Soil band deliver at Rebel Salute

Tarrus Riley

For just over 25 minutes, Tarrus Riley and his Blak Soil band delivered a top-notch workman-like performance at the just-concluded Rebel Salute stage show held at the Richmond Estate in St Ann.

Riley and crew performed on Friday, January 18, of the two-day festival.

Armed with his latest single, Gimmie Likkle One Drop, Riley kept up a steady pace throughout, delivering hit after hit. Sorry is a Sorry Word, Woman of My Dreams, Good Girl Gone Bad, Shaka Zulu Pickney, the enigmatic Lion Paw, She's Royal, and Never Leave I Jah Jah were aimed at a music-hungry audience.

During his set, Riley and band leader, saxophonist Dean Fraser, engaged in a lyrical showdown, which patrons thoroughly enjoyed.

The performance of Riley and his band was one of the major highlights of the just-concluded event.
