After an 18-year absence from the country's top flight, Cavalier have made a dream return, as they yesterday booked a spot in the second-end-of-round final, following a 0-0 stalemate with Highgate in their Red Stripe Premier League match contested at the Drax Hall Sports Complex.

The draw moved Cavalier to a second round table-topping 21 points and guaranteed their place in the all-incentive final, which will see the winners pocketing $250,000 and the beaten finalist $150,000.

Cavalier occupy fifth in the overall standing with 32 points, while Highgate remain in the relegation zone in 11th with 20 points.

Harbour View are in pole position to make it to their second consecutive end-of-round final after getting by Arnett Gardens 1-0 at the Harbour View Mini-Stadium. A 54th-minute strike by Ranique Muir was enough to gain The Stars of the East all three points, as they climb from fourth to second in the second-round standing with 20 points.

Harbour View also extended their lead atop the overall standing to eight points, as they progress to 45 points.

Arnett, which were second in the round standings going into the match, remain third in the generally standing with 35 points.

Portmore United, which play away to Boys' Town tonight at the Anthony Spaulding Complex, will have to win by a clear four goals in order to make the final ahead of Harbour View on goal difference.

Another team that was in contention to make the final, Waterhouse, was ambushed 1-0 at the Effortville Community Centre. Tyrone Sawyers sent the home supporters into jubilation when he netted in the 84th minute.

Waterhouse ended the match with 10 players when Hughan Gray was dismissed in the 89th minute.

This was the fourth consecutive game that Waterhouse was failing to win, as they remain on 32 points in sixth position on the league table, while Humble Lion is 10th with 26 points.

Savannah netted the surprise result of the round, as they recorded their first victory in 19 games when they clipped Montego Bay United 1-0 at the Frome Sports complex, ending their opponent's second-round final ambitions in the process.

The game's lone goal was scored from the penalty spot by Adrian Robinson in 45+1 minutes as cellar dwellers Savannah moved to 15 points.

Montego Bay United was suffering their second consecutive 1-0 defeat, as they close the second round in fourth position on 34 points.

Sporting Central Academy registered their first win over Tivoli Gardens in 14 games after coming from behind to record a 2-1 victory at the Edward Seaga Complex.

Christopher Jackson fired Tivoli into the lead in the 10th minute from the penalty spot, but second-half strikes from Levaughn Williams (59th) and Andre Morrison (73rd) gave Sporting victory which took them above Tivoli to eight on 28 points.

Tivoli, which have failed to win in their last six games, is ninth on 27 points.
