Unruly plane passenger fined |

|
A man who admitted he had a little too much Vodka while on board a Canadian flight was fined $25,000 in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court yesterday. Herbert Watson was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and being an unruly passenger. no one assaulted Watson, who initially pleaded not guilty, said there was a shouting situation on the plane, but no one was assaulted. Allegations are that on the day of the incident, Watson, who had too much Vodka to drink, got in a confrontation with a flight attendant. It is alleged he punched the attendant in his chest. The incident which caused a commotion on the flight, led to Watson's arrest. Watson, who later spoke to his attorney in court, changed his plea to guilty. He was fined $25,000 or 30 days. The prosecution offered no evidence on the assault charge. |
