Lisbie O's player of the month

LONDON (CMC):

Leyton Orient's Jamaica international Kevin Lisbie has been voted League One player of the month for November.

The 34-year-old journeyman, who joined the east London outfit last summer, scored five times in as many outings to secure the award and put the club on an eight-game winning streak.

"Despite his advancing years, Kevin Lisbie is clearly still a vital part of the Leyton Orient squad and thoroughly deserves this award," said npower Sponsorship Manager Emma Collins.

"Five goals in five games is great form and even without the goals, his experience and influence must be invaluable for the O's."

Overall, Lisbie has scored nine times this season to lead Orient to mid-table on 31 points, 10 points adrift of leaders Tranmere Rovers.

He beat out competition for the award from Doncaster Rovers defender Rob Jones and Brentford goalkeeper Simon Moore.
