Boys' Town win at last Harbour View have further distanced themselves from the rest of the Red Stripe Premier League after an added time goal by Christopher Harvey (90+1) took them past defending champions Portmore United in their 18th-round meeting yesterday, at the Harbour View Mini-Stadium. The victory has moved Harbour View to 37 points; nine ahead of second-place Portmore (28), which were suffering a first defeat in four games. Montego Bay United were the biggest movers, as they climbed two places to third in the 12-team standing, with 28 points, after extending their unbeaten run to five games, following a 1-1 draw with Cavalier at the Montego-Bay Sports Complex. Cavalier drop one place to eighth on 26 points. Cavalier took the lead in the 39th minute through a Giovanni Samuda goal, but Dino Williams pulled Montego Bay United level in the 85th minute. Boys' Town took Cavalier's place in seventh position after registering their first victory of the second round, as they got by Tivoli Gardens 2-1 in the west Kingston derby at the Edward Seaga Complex. Goals by Marvin Stewart (12th) and Nicholas McMorris (57th) earned Boys' Town their first victory in seven league games. Tivoli, who were losing for the first time, also in seven games, got their consolation goal from Davion Garrison (86th). Tivoli, who lie sixth, also have 26 points with a goal difference of +5, while Boys' Town and Cavalier have goal differences of +1 and -3 respectively. Cellar dwellers Savannah slumped to their ninth consecutive loss, as their winless streak extended to 15 games, following a 1-0 loss to Sporting Central Academy at the Frome Sports Complex. The game's all-important goal was scored in the 51st minute by Dwayne Campbell to earn Sporting their first win in four games, as they progressed to 24 points in ninth place. Savannah have 11 points; nine of which were attained from the first three games of the season. Coach Geoffrey Maxwell made it two from two, as he guided tenth-place Humble Lion to a 1-0 win over 11th-place Highgate United at the Effortville Community Centre. The Lion's, who now have 22 points, left it late as the goal did not come until the second minute of added time when Fabian Pascoe (90+2) scored. Highgate, who were suffering only their second defeat in the last seven games, have 16 points. Tonight's game will see fourth-place Arnett Gardens (28) host fifth-place Waterhouse at the Anthony Spaulding Complex in a 9:15 encounter. - R.J.
