Shot dead after attackers fire through rear window

Investigators in the St Catherine North Division are yet to find those responsible for the murder of a senior citizen along St Johns Road last night.

The senior citizen was attacked at home by men who invaded the premises.

Dead is Pauline Israel, 62-year-old domestic helper of 91 St Johns Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Reports are that Israel was at home about 7:30 p.m., when gunmen entered her yard. They fired shots through a rear room window of the premises. Israel, who was inside the premises, was hit all over her body. The injured Israel was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.

The St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force have since started a probe into the matter.
