THE STAR newspaper has added a real treat for all patrons who will be in attendance at the Wray and Nephew Rumble on JamRock on Saturday night. Female dancehall heavyweight Spice is set to perform during the Star pre-bout show of the biggest fight night to hit Jamaica. The event is being presented by SportsMax and will be held at the National Indoor Sports Centre. Deejay Spice, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, will be the sole female entertainer in a line-up including reggae royalties Tony Rebel and Sizzla. Spice is set to take the ring as the night's first performer at 8:55 p.m. with Tony Rebel following at 9:45 p.m. and Sizzla rounding off the night's live entertainment at 11 p.m. The deejay told THE WEEKEND STAR, in an interview yesterday, that; "I'm gonna give a knockout performance tomorrow night. So fans can come out and expect a great performance because I'm definitely gonna spice up the ring in more ways than one. Spice, however, will not be the only female in the spotlight as the fight night's bouts will include two female title fights. Venezuela's Alysia Sanchez will kick of the boxing action when she challenges Mexico's Maria Elena Villalobos for the World Boxing Association's (WBA) super bantamweight title at 7:15 p.m. Later, at 10:05 pm, Peru's golden girl, Kina Malpartida will defend her WBA featherweight title against USA's hopeful, Stacey 'Stay-lo' Reile. The other fighting bouts are Mauricio Reynoso (Peru) versus Jaime Barboza (Costa Rica) for the WBA super middleweight fedelatin title taking the ring at 8:00 p.m., followed by the Wray and Nephew Contender grudge match between 2011 Contender champion, Rikardo Smith and Sakima Mullings. The night will then climax with the WBA featherweight title fight at 11:30 p.m. between Colombia's Daulis Prescott and Jamaica's Nicholas Walters who aims to make history in becoming the first Jamaican to win a world title on home soil. The fight night will also see two outstanding Jamaican boxers, George Leslie 'Bunny' Grant and Richard 'Shrimpy' Clarke, being honoured by SportsMax for being contenders for world boxing titles on Jamaican soil. For those who want to join the rumble, tickets are available at Wyndham Kingston, all Western Sports locations and Total gas stations Liguanea, Washington Boulevard, Mandeville and Ocho Rios. Tickets cost $2,000 for general admission with any Wray and Nephew bottle cap and $5,000 for VIP ringside (food and drink inclusive) with any Wray and Nephew bottle cap.
