Sean Paul, Jimmy Cliff get Grammy nod

Jimmy Cliff and Sean Paul are among the final list of nominees for the Best Reggae Album category for the 55th annual Grammy Awards.

The names of the nominees were announced last night.

The nominations include Rebirth by Jimmy Cliff; Miracle by The Original Wailers and Tomahawk Technique by Sean Paul.

New Legend-Jamaica 50th Edition by Sly and Robbie and The Jam Masters and Reggae Got Soul:Unplugged in Strawberry Hill by Toots and The Maytals round out the list.

There is also a nomination for Bob Marley and The Wailers in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category for the track Marley.

Other nominee soundtracks in the category include: The Descendants, Midnight In Paris, The Muppets and Rock Of Ages.

Stephen Marley won the Best Reggae Album Grammy for his album, Revelation Pt 1:The Root Of Life at the 54th staging of The Grammy Awards.

The Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 10 next year.
