Deablo hits first #1 with 'Run Road'

Fast-rising artiste Deablo, more affectionately known as Romeo Nelson, landed at #1 for three weeks in a row on the ER Danchehall Top 10 Chart for his collab with JOP's head Aidonia.

Skilfully lined with potent lyrics Romeo Nelson aka Deablo says: "Working on the collaboration was very simple as me and Aidonia basically went in the studio and freestyle the song - we already had the 'Run Road' theme in mind; the rest just came naturally and the rest is history. And to see it topping a prominent dancehall chart is a great accomplishment. I have to give god thanks.

Deablo ,who has been a member of the JOP since 2007, was attending St George's College where he was recruited to be a part of the JOP team.

Nelson first came on the dancehall scene with a song on the Drumline rhythm called Headline, which was followed by songs such as In deh (Sex Appeal rhythm) Real Bad People (Bus Stop rhythm), and Jah Guide Step (Money Box rhythm).

Most recently is Run Road, which has gained him major fans and a name in danchehall. The deejay says to lookout for new single Road Runner coming soon and Who Shall Fear, produced by Chimney Records to be part of their juggling.

Deablo has gained a lot of talent and has developed into a more potent artiste than before, releasing more hardcore lyrics, with hard-hitting mentor Aidonia by his side teaching the art of firing lyrical shots.

Deablo has been travelling with Aidonia on his local and international shows and has been mastering his performance skills. The two just recently performed in Barbados where they left patrons bawling for more lyrics from their smashing hit single.

Aidonia is very confident that his protégé Deablo will become a household name by the end of December. "He has the lyrics, talent and the discipline to go after what he wants, and for that there is no stopping him, so look out fi hear greater songs from Deablo," said Aidonia.
