Global Life recording artiste Ras Bogle is generating a lot of buzz in the world of reggae-dancehall because of his distinctive vocals on breakout radio hits such as We Got Love and Woman Of The Year.

Music insiders are excited about the exciting roots rock firebrand's new sound, especially his vocal inflections which bring back memories of an Ini Kamoze.

"A lot of people, especially fans in the US on Facebook and Twitter, tell me that I sound like the great Ini Kamoze and I take it as a compliment because he was one of the first reggae singers to cross over and make it big internationally," Ras Bogle said.

Bogle recently scored a major critical and commercial success with his single, Woman Of The Year, which hit the #1 spot on several local video charts recently, and locked down the top spot on the CVM Hitlist charts for three consecutive weeks.

Bogle recently released a video for his latest single, We Got Love, which he hopes will generate similar success.

"We Got Love is now #5 on CVM Hitlist, so the response has been phenomenal so far. The song is getting great rotation in England and other Caribbean countries," Ras Bogle said.

Since the video was released last week, it has popped up on the playlists of CVM Plus, RE TV, HYPE TV and N TV.

The entertainer, who was born in Tower Hill, St Andrew, said he has also recorded a collaboration with fellow deejay Future Fambo titled That Girl Is Poison, which is enjoying excellent rotation on Internet radio.

Early buzz

"The song will go in a wider release in late November and I am expecting great things from it as well given the early buzz and what the fans are saying," he said.

Ras Bogle is known for songs such as Cry For Justice on the Autumn rhythm and Stay Far on the G-Life's Unleashed rhythm alongside heavyweight acts such as Anthony B. He has worked on stage shows alongside Jamaican stars such as Serani, Tanto Metro, Terry Linen, and I Wayne on shows across the Tri-State area. Ras Bogle has appeared several times on the annual Thanksgiving Giveaway show in November in Philadelphia performing alongside Pinchers, Flourgon, Lady G, Macka Diamond and Flippa Maffia.

He said in addition to his wide catalogue on songs, he is still working on new projects in the studio. The entertainer said his efforts have been recognised as he is slated to perform at the highly anticipated Sting one-night show on December 26.

"It is a real blessing that I have been given some blessing to be at the Jam world show this year. I am coming to take my place in the music business with a brand new sound and flow," Ras Bogle said
