Ele's rape case delayed, bail extended

Dancehall artiste Oneil Bryan, better known as Elephant Man, had his rape case postponed and his $400,000 bail extended when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

The preliminary enquiry into the rape allegations against the dancehall artiste was postponed due to an outstanding forensic report.

The enquiry is now set to start on February 11, 2013.

Bryan, 36, is charged with rape and sexual assault as a result of the January 2012 incident involving a 31-year-old woman at his Hillcrest Avenue home in St Andrew.
