Sandy frock tail lash di island

Bwoy Sandy left all wah she a do an lef Spongebob an come a Jamaica come cause problem! People a seh di male-named hurricane dem bad and really an truly none cyaa come close to Gilbert and I hope none does anytime soon, but Sandy come an wheel her frock tail an lash di island.

For the most part from Gilbert devastation in 1988 nobody naa tek no check wid no storm no time! Everybody get inna hurricane mode faster than how yuh coulda seh "who dat". But as usual unnu know how Jamaicans tun up di ting, di line dem inna every supermarket, every gas station, every bakery long from yah so to Afghanistan. Mi naa lie!

Di line dem long like when people a try get inna embassy an every shelf before yuh know it empty! All the paint offa di shelf di people dem tek off! Mi know di supermarket owna mus a seh bwoy sorry fi unnu but glad fi we. Big up Miss Sandeeee!! Even though many got a chance to prepare though Sandy happen faster than usual because it originate inna di Caribbean dis time so by di time we quint a she dat like some people who jus' show up a yuh yaad an no call fus!

mixed reaction

Based pon wah mi hear there has been mixed reaction bout Sandy. In some places little or no damage. As a matter a fact a jus tru light go weh mek some people know seh storm deh bout. Some were spared but some places feel it wicked. Sandy deal wid di coastline bad! From Harbour View to St Thomas feel it wicked! Mi stand up inna Danny's Marina an a shake like a leaf when mi see di wave dem get up a beat di place like badmind!

Di waves jus a move roun boat an yacht like toys an all carry a big boat come park up inna di driveway from parts unknown! When yuh see trees a topple ova an wata a move concrete structure we jus stan up in awe an realise seh at the end of the day Fadda God a di real big man an a him run di place! To how di winds get ferocious it move an lift up everything. Boat sink...man cry and Sandy jus do her ting. Caribbean Terrace need some kinda urgent intervention, find someweh relocate di people dem an condemn di area for residential use because it real hard fi a sweep sand offa yuh bed everytime there is hurricane.

A di fus me a watch a storm so up close and personal an mi come to one conclusion: man has come up with so many inventions and has conquered so many things yet cannot do anything to stop Mother Nature when she a wrath. At the end of the day material tings deh yah an in a jiffy they can be all taken away and disintegrate right in front a yuh face an yuh haffi jus watch helplessly. So all people a kill up demself and a commit some unspeakable crime and a rape an kill an a crocus bag a ting, a God in charge. Mi only sorry seh di good ago get crush inna di rush when di tings a go down!

low fatality rate

All in all we still haffi give thanks and mi heart goes out to all the farmers who loose dem crop and dem farm mash up. Maybe now some a who unemployed can go look fi plant up some field an do something productive other than apply bleaching cream to dem face! Mi hope by now most people get back dem light an wata. Still haffi give thanks cause Sandy claimed many lives in her passage and we no have nuff fatality here.

People are in need and want help and mi a appeal to all to extend a helping hand. Help nail a roof or mend back a fence so that the recovery process will be quick. Di people dem who a hike up di price fi help people saw tree an remove debris nobodda wid it. Di neighbour dem who a stress bout tree wah blow ova dem yaad go easy!

Those who have trees or shrub wah a offend others try as best as yuh can fi tek dem up fast. Mi hope nobody naa try mek a killing offa people in their time of need but are being reasonable cause it could be you. Sandy a real bad gal cause she gone a farin without no visa! Praying for all those along the east coast and wish them safe passage. Mi gone drink a tall glass a ice wata ... lata!!
