Tifa's 'Hold On' hits MTV Base chart

Dancehall diva Tifa has scored a major hit on the MTV Base Africa Dancehall chart.

Tifa's single Hold On, is currently at the number-one spot on the chart. The single was produced by Washroom Entertainment for the Poolside Rhythm.

The Washroom Entertainment produced Matrimoney Medley, which featured other artistes including Wayne Marshall, Sean Paul, Fambo and Liquid also earned the number-one spot on MTV Base Africa.

Tifa told THE STAR that she is beyond excited to be sitting atop the chart.

"I'm elated! Its my second number-one song outside of Jamaica and MTV Base Charts is a big deal. I can't wait to perform for my African massive, they are very supportive of my music & career. Big-up to my UK and European massive also."

Tifa is also gearing up for new releases and video shoots.

"What I have coming up soon is the official release of Champion Bubbler on the 'Kling Klang Rhythm', and I will be shooting the video the week of November 12," she said.

The track was produced by Dre Skull, who has also produced for Snoop Dog and Vybz Kartel.

"Dre Skull will be coming down with a team from New York to film my video. Also, look out for new songs like That's Why You Mad and Get Buck," Tifa went on to say.

The second staging of Tifa's Pink & White Birthday Beach Bash - 'Pink Xstacy: The Rebirth' is also scheduled to take place on December 9 at Sugarman's Beach in Portmore.
