Damion Bryce hits ton on return

Damion Bryce returned to the island recently, and in his first innings smashed a 66-ball 111 not out as Portmore Pines hammered Braeton Red Caps by 116 runs in the fifth round of the Wray & Nephew-sponsored Portmore Cricket Association T20 Club Champion-ships at Hamilton Gardens last Sunday.

Bryce's knock included 7 fours and 6 sixes, as his team piled up 205-5 off their allotted 20 overs. Stephan Casey was not out on 29 at the end. Omar Burke, 2-21, and Kemar Mussington, 2-41, were Braeton's top bowlers. Braeton were spliced out for 89, as Mussington made 18 and Marlon Campbell 17. Christian Gardens were skittled out for 114, as Roberts hit 38. Jermaine Innis took 2-11 for Washington.

Rain

Bridgeview and Reid's Pen are joint second in the group with 11 points each, and rain caused their match to be abandoned.

Scores in the game reduced to eight overs: Silverstone 49-5, Shane Green 35; Gibbs Williams 2-6 and Brian Migton 2-7. G.C. Foster 50-0, Wayne Morgan 31 n.o., Danza Hyatt 15 n.o.

Second-place Colours International (13 points) defeated Belmont by 23 runs in a rain-hit game. Scores: Colours 125-5 (12), John Ross Campbell 32 n.o., Aaron Johnson 30; Derron Royal 2-35. Belmont 102-6; Miguel Gordon 25; Odane Hartley 25; Rojay Barrett 3-8.
