Friendship Sports club cooled Flames A fire as they defeated the Top Mountain side 29-14 in the final of the St Catherine Netball Association Netball League at the Ascot High School Court in Portmore last Sunday.

The majority of the match was played in fading light, due to the inclement weather that forced a late start to the grand final.

The cheerleading contest between the fans of both teams was fierce but on the court it was a one-sided affair as Friendship goalshooter, Ladonna Lamount, scored at will, much to the delight of their supporters, and Flames buckled under the pressure.

Earlier, rain brought an abrupt end to the play-off for third place. Job Lane A led Marine Park 19-15, butMarine Park players failed to take the court after the rains subsided.
