KILLED FOR SMOKING SPLIFF

A 25-year-old driver who was accused of smoking a man's ganja spliff without his permission was reportedly stabbed to death in a heated dispute in Gregory Park, St Catherine, on Tuesday.

Dead is Richard Whyte, otherwise called 'Joey,' of a Hamilton Gardens address in the parish.

Information reaching THE STAR is that sometime after 2 a.m., Whyte and a man got into a dispute over the ganja spliff and a knife came into play.

It is reported that during the argument, Whyte was stabbed with the knife several times over his body.

He was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Reports reaching THE STAR is that Whyte was accused of smoking the accused man's ganja spliff without his permission.

THE STAR understands that the accused man is on the run and is being sought by the St Catherine South police.

Investigations continue.
