After recovering from bad cases of 'running belly', men from a Clarendon-based gang can now run their mouths and promise to stop at nothing until they locate a 'gangster chef' who reportedly put a laxative in food he prepared for them.

THE STAR heard that the 25-year-old man cooked up a plan to get even with others from the gang after he was beaten and forced to prepare the meal of curried goat and ground provisions.

"Dem seh dem a bad man and look how easy dem get ketch... Dem beat di man fi cook food and di man set dem up and put supn' in a di food fi run dem belly. Everybody a laugh afta dem worse di man all run weh afta him done cook di food," said a resident of May Pen in the parish.

The men involved in the incident are said to frequent the May Pen Market, and as such the incident has become a hot topic on the lips of some who operate in the market.

THE STAR learnt that the chef at the centre of the incident has not been seen since, though he could normally be found chilling with the gangsters, and was regularly called upon to prepare meals for them.

However, last Wednesday, he and another man who is a part of the gang reportedly got into a verbal argument which almost turned physical when machetes were drawn.

Later that day, the chef was summoned to prepare food but reportedly declared he was not in a cooking mood, claiming he was disrespected earlier.

Despite his explanation, he was accosted and beaten with a piece of board for 'dissing the don'.

Further reports are that after the beating, the man eventually agreed to prepare the food.

Thugs who spoke to THE STAR said the man had a plan of his own and used the opportunity as the perfect chance to get back at those who attacked him by adding the 'secret' ingredient to the food.

Shortly after enjoying the food, a number of the men began to complain about stomach pains and the overwhelming urge to use the toilet.

Further reports are that the thugs at first thought the meat was not prepared properly. However upon visiting the chef's house to talk about the food, he was nowhere to be found.

He reportedly contacted another man from the gang two days later and confessed to adding the laxative to the food. He also urged the men not to try and locate him as he was already in Kingston with family.

"Di man call and a laugh. Is a one man him call and tell wah him do and dat man tell di crew wah really gwaan. If him neva call and tell dem nobody wouldn't even think seh foul play gwaan," one of the men from the gang explained to THE STAR before adding, "Me neva eat none a di food case mi neva deh bout but is about eight man belly di food run."

The May Pen police say they have not yet heard about the situation.
