'Street Pledge' sweeps across airwaves

Three of dancehall's top-notch artistes have teamed up on a dancehall-pop single party single 'Street Pledge'.

Ding Dong, Baby Chris and New Kidz have collaborated on this hit single, which is said to be dominating the dancehall.

The single was produced by TruckBack Record's Adrian Locke, who adapted the alternative rock band Fun's college party anthem, We Are Young.

According to New Kidz, the song came to the producer in a dream.

"The song was a dream from Adrian. Him dream see me and Baby Chris a do the song, so we deh a di studio and Ding Dong roll in and say him want come on too. Is just a natural vibe, is how we live everyday," New Kidz told THE STAR.

New Kidz since it's release, the song has been creating waves in dancehall.

"Big up Boom Boom, a him tek the song to the streets and big up Sadiki cause a him name the song. Right now the song a di life a di party. Di people dem caan wait fi it play inna di dance dem. Everybody a ask me fi BB it and email it to dem," he said.

Ding Dong told THE STAR that Street Pledge has been getting great feedback and could be touted as the next Holiday.

"Trust me, I get goose bumps when dis play. It caan play one time, di selector dem haffi a play it over and over. It's been getting a whole lot a airplay," he said.

Ding Dong said the has been doing well on the European market and there are plans to do promotions for the song in America.
