Vysionaer - File
Vysionaer is no common garden-variety artiste. He is a revelation to anyone who hears him spit out hard-hitting rhymes and brilliant metaphors which show that like his name, he is a visionary artiste years ahead of his time.
This young, talented artiste has been getting major props for his latest combination hit single, Free Up, featuring Capleton, on the FKF label, which has been blowing up all over FM radio.
"Everybody love it, especially the hustlers in the street who find it difficult fi mek a living. is a song they can relate to because of the economic struggles so many families go through. The song shot! everywhere mi go, people a say Free Up a represent wah most Jamaicans feel right now," he said.
Based on the success of that single and the rotation of his breakout Waan Come Home hit on cable and TV stations, this reggae artiste is fast becoming a legend in the community of Roses Valley in St Elizabeth. A former student of the Magotty High School, he boasts a strong background in drama and writing, which brings a strong theatricality to his electrifying live
performances.
A uniquely gifted performing artiste, he has the ability to mesmerise an audience with his incredible vocal skills, cutting-edge lyrics, and high-energy antics.
He lists his musical influences as "foundation artistes" such as Jacob Miller, Bob Marley, and Peter Tosh, and sings widely across the genre of reggae doing roots rock,
cultural, and love songs.
Vysionaer entered two of Jamaica's major competitions, the Tastee's Talent Show in 2009 and Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall in 2011, but failed to reach the mark in either one. However, each experience imbued him with valuable skills and knowledge which inform his trek on his musical mission. He is determined to be a household name in the near future and aims to uplift the masses with his music.
"Every week, mi a grow and a expand mi knowledge so mi can teach and uplift my people. The career a gwaan good. last week, I did an interview on Intense and got good feedback, plus the video for Waan Come Home is getting great rotation on RE and HYPE TV. so a just crazy love mi a get inna the streets. so mi see the growth," he said.
Earlier this year, Vysionaer's debut single, Mama Mi Going Out To Look Di Food, on the 'Lunch Time' rhythm, announced his arrival to the world. He continued to shine with sophomore efforts like Waan Come Home and a popular combination single called Hustler, featuring Capleton.
But it appears that his first breakout hit will be Free Up.
"To the response, mi know seh this could be the big one for me if promoted properly. that is why my management a go shoot a video for the project. right now, we just a move from strength to strength," Vysionaer said.
