Western Bureau:

After assuming control of Zone B with a commanding 3-1 victory over Frome last Saturday, defending daCosta Cup champions Rusea's will seek to solidify their status as the team to beat with what looks on paper an easier task, that of taking all three points against Cambridge.

The game will be one of 31 matches across the island scheduled today, with a number of high intensity matchups to boot.

Rusea's will be watched carefully as they build towards the inter-zone round, already amassing 12 points from four matches to lead the zone ahead of Frome on nine.

Cambridge, while not expected to roll over and die, appear a little overmatched against a Rusea's team that is just about hitting their stride, after a calm but successful start to the campaign.

Second-place Frome will go in search of some redemption away to Green Island, while Herbert Morrison, third in the zone, tackle Merlene Ottey.

Another key matchup pits the ever-improving Spot Valley against Holland High, still celebrating its first win in the daCosta Cup.

Other games on today see Balaclava hosting Lacovia in a Zone E game at Balaclava, zone leaders STETHS travel to Black River High, where three points for them, coupled with a loss for rivals Munro will see them going six clear at the top of the zone.

Munro, who suffered a stinging 1-2 loss to STETHS last time out, should rebound against Maggotty.
