After getting the better of Usain Bolt in the 200 meters at the National Trials to book his spot on Jamaica's team to the London Olympics, Yohan Blake revealed that he was embraced by his training partner and told "Yohan we are friends, but this will never happen again."

Blake, who had also upstaged Bolt in the 100m at the trials, was relegated to his position of 'Robin' as 'Batman' stole the headlines at the Olympics with Bolt winning both the 100m and 200m in times of 9.63 seconds and 19.32 seconds, respectively. Blake had to settle for second in both events as he posted 9.75 in the 100m and 19.44 in the 200m.

Batman and Robin teamed up with Michael Frater and Nesta Carter to win gold in the 4x100m establishing a new world record of 36.84 seconds.

The 23-year-old Blake is, however, looking forward to the day when he steps out of the shadows of Bolt and has warned that his reign will commence soon.

"I was being Batman for a while leading up to the Olympics, but after the Olympics I went back down to being Robin," Blake said yesterday while speaking at a press conference held to brief the media at the Spanish Court Hotel. "One day I will be Batman and it will be soon, because I am hungry and I want it. He added: "Asafa (Powell) had his time, Usain (Bolt) take over from him; Usain (Bolt) is having his time and I am going to take over from him and one day somebody is going to take over from me. I have to just keep my focus and my discipline and keep working hard."

Blake, who won the 100m at last year's World Championships after Bolt false started, believes it just was not his time at the Olympics.

A legend

"I have to wait until the next Olympics and I have two more World Championships to start my legacy and I think it is going to come," Blake shared. "My teammate Usain (Bolt) said he wants to be a legend, but I want to be more than a legend and I am working towards that," he added.

Bolt recently stated that he is looking forward to running against Blake next year at the World Championships to be held in Moscow, Russia, as he is desirous of reclaiming his 100m world title.

"I can't wait, I always love to run against Usain (Bolt) and each year I grow stage by stage and I get faster and smarter and I learn the sport more, so I think it is going to be an interesting one next year," Blake revealed. "I am feeling confident more than ever and I think next year it is going to be really hard for anybody coming up against me as I will be much stronger and much fitter.

He added: "Usain (Bolt) said to me after the Olympics "Yohan I throw away the key and you have to find it," so I am on the path of finding it."
