A woman told you that the only way prostitution would end is if men were to boycott the services of prostitutes. And though I agree with her 100 per cent, I know that for as long as women continue to reject men, and for as long as husbands are left unsatisfied, prostitutes will never cease to exist.

Prostitutes are every single man's best friend, and that very special place in which every disgruntled husband can find solace. In fact, wives often believe that prostitutes are their worst enemies and a cancer to their progress in finding and keeping a man. But I say to them that for every time a young suitor gets rejected by a young woman whom he admires, and for every time the wife at home starts acting up, or thinks that she is too "stush" to carry out certain sexual acts to please her husband, she is in fact creating the situation in which another prostitute will see fit to exist.

Complacent girlfriends and wives have been unwittingly creating their own worst enemies for years, and the only way prostitution will truly end is if they start caring more about keeping their men happy. But until then, who needs a wife when they can get it from a prostitute?

Defender of Prostitutes

Dear Defender of Prostitutes,

It is easy for a person reading your letter to say that your arguments are reasonable and sound and that indeed wives should change. And if the wives fail to perform satisfactory in bed, the men have the right to seek sexual gratification from prostitutes. What you have not said is that there are many wives who have tried their very best to satisfy their husbands sexually. But these men still go out and have sex with prostitutes.

I can tell you why. Some of these men believe that by having sex with one woman (wife or girlfriend), that will kill their nature. Men often brag that prostitutes give them a boost, so even when their wives give them the "full package" without holding back, some men stray. In fact, some men budget for prostitutes. They like the kicks. And as their women grow older, they seek younger prostitutes.

So, my dear, sir, while it is true that some wives withhold sex from men from time to time, it is also true that some men have never been able to control their sexual appetite and behaviour. You call prostitutes a man's best friend. You are wrong. Prostitution can kill good family life. Men who spend their money on prostitutes are endangering their wives and themselves. Some have contracted deadly sexually transmitted infections and the homes are often destroyed.

Before I go, remember that there are also male prostitutes, and they are being paid for their service. Tell me why then do men go and have sex with these male prostitutes? Think about that.
