Andre' Williams, STAR Writer Jungle justice appears to be the order of the week in Lime Tree district, Trelawny, as another alleged suspect in the killing of a farmer has reportedly been shot and burnt to death, THE WEEKEND STAR has learnt. Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that a man identified as 48-year-old Wayne 'Roundy' Rowe, who was held for questioning in relation to the August 29 killing of 31-year-old farmer Delon 'Bada' James, was found dead in a parked, burnt-out Suzuki motor car. Our news team understands that Rowe was reportedly questioned about his alleged involvement and later released by the police. According to a source from the location, this did not go down well with the residents who thought the action of the police was inadequate. THE WEEKEND STAR understands that the suspect was shot before being set ablaze in the community. loud explosions Reports said residents alerted police personnel after hearing loud explosions about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and observed what appeared to be smoke coming from a parked vehicle. THE WEEKEND STAR was told that a team from the Christiana Fire Department was summoned to extinguish the blaze. Rowe was burnt beyond recognition, and his charred remains were taken to the morgue for post-mortem. The Trelawny police said quick action would be taken to bring closure to the matter. Rowe's death follows that of another alleged suspect in the farmer's murder. Leroy 'Supa' Pottinger, 31, was also mobbed and chopped fatally on Sunday in a section of a community called Lowe Key. |
