The St James police have theorised that the gruesome murders of four persons, including two pregnant women, that rocked the parish on Wednesday night were gang related, THE WEEKEND STAR understands.

The deceased persons in Maroon Town have been identified as 36-year-old electrician Easton 'Bryan' Chambers, and his pregnant 19-year-old common-law wife, Shantel Davis, who was due to give birth to his child later this month.

According to reports, two armed men carried out the cold-hearted act, which reportedly occurred at 9:30 p.m. in an area of the community known as Dundee.

Davis and her common-law husband Chambers were two of four people shot dead by gunmen in two separate incidents on Wednesday night.

game of bingo

In the neighbouring community of Granville, 71-year-old retired carpenter Alvin Reid and Ashmara Plummer, 37, who investigators believe was two months pregnant, were killed while playing a game of bingo with friends at a shop on Gunns Drive.

THE WEEKEND STAR gathered information that about 7:30 p.m., two men walked up to the shop, brandished firearms and opened fire, which hit both on the upper part of their bodies.

Reid and Plummer died on the spot.

On Thursday morning, community members saw signs that told the tale of the horror that was unleashed at the business place where the attack took place.

The police have since stepped up presence in the community and told our news team that the murders will be properly investigated.
