Reggae Boyz midfielder Jason Morrison has rubbished arguments pertaining to the absence of creativity in the team's midfield ahead of tomorrow's Group A World Cup Qualifier against the United States at the National Stadium.

"All the players playing in the attacking third are creative players, so people keep on talking about this midfield," Morrison said ahead of yesterday evening's training session at the National Stadium.

"When the opportunity arises, of course we can play the ball to the strikers. We have been scoring goals; we won the last game 2-0 (against El Salvador), so all this talk about creative midfielders; we have been creating chances. Even in the first group game against Guatemala, we created a lot of chances," he added.

Jamaica and the Americans have both amassed four points, but the latter has a superior goal difference, hence this game to be followed by the return match on September 11, will be vital in determining which country tops the group.

The group is completed by Guatemala and Antigua and Barbuda; which both have a point.

"We are looking forward to this challenge, because we all know it is a big game," Morrison said. "We are joint leaders with the US at the moment, and we need the three points to be on top after this game and we are playing at home, so it is very important for us to get the victory. It doesn't matter if we haven't beaten them (US) before, but this is a different game and a different opportunity to get the three points.

He added: "Getting the three points at home will be a big boost for us; for everyone, the country and the team. It would put us in a very good position to go to the next round."

The 28-year-old is set to come face-to-face with Tottenham Hotspurs new signing Clint Dempsey. Morrison, who plays for Norwegian club Aalesund, is not perturbed by the impending duel, as he is more focused on playing a team game.

"I am not looking forward to an individual matchup; I am just looking forward to playing a team game," Morrison said. "I am not thinking about any individual player, because it is a team sport and it is a team that is going to win at the end of the day."
