Waterford United had a close 250-248 win over last year's champs, Passagefort United, in the Colin Fagan-sponsored South East St Catherine Constituency Domino League in an exciting countdown at its Passagefort home base, Myrtle Way, Old Passagefort Sunday.

It was the first time the teams were facing each other since Passagefort knocked off Waterford to cop the league title last season.

In other games, Westchester Rudiz won their third game as they crushed Garveymeade All Stars 250-179; Ken's Wildflower made it two wins in as many games, with an easy 250-204 win over Portsmouth, while Cumberland won their first game in three tries as they defeated Garveymeade 250-226.

The competition continues tomorrow with four games.
