Telecommunications company LIME is now finalising plans for the staging of its massive back-to-school event. LIME Skool Aid will be held at the Jamworld showground today after it was postponed last week because of the inclement weather. Sponsorship Manager, Stephen Miller, says the company is expecting 30,000 patrons, including students and parents to today's event, which will offer a complete suite of services needed for the reopening of schools on Monday. "Again we will be offering free health and dental checks, including immunisations and free back-to- school supplies. We will also be hosting a number of suppliers and retailers of various educational items from which parents can access a wide range of back-to-school essentials, all in one location", Miller pointed out. Miller said students attending the event will also stand a chance to win one of several scholarships and other educational incentives being offered by the company. "Over the past two years, we have provided more than 30 educational grants for both primary and secondary students" he added. Now in its third year, the highly anticipated event will also offer a range of deals and discounts on LIME products and services, including computers and Internet packages. Tickets for the event are available at select LIME locations in Kingston and Portmore with the purchase of a $200 mobile top up or 'Jus Talk' international calling card. |
