Bolt still hungry ... Sprinter says defending Olympic titles in Rio would make him even greater
Andre Lowe, Senior Staff Reporter

Word Championships in 2013, yes. The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, definitely. There are little certainties around sprint king Usain Bolt these days, but it is at least clear that the six-time Olympic gold medallist and triple world record holder remains motivated to continue his dominance at the upcoming global championships.

The question is, however, whether he will continue his 100m/200m double assault, or switch his focus to other events in the build-up to the Rio games, which many expect to be his curtain closer.

"If I can go to Rio and really defend all my titles, that would make it even greater," said the man, who carved his name among sprinting legends, after marching into London and successfully defending the 100m and 200m titles he first won at the Beijing Olympic Games.

more world records

Now, with world records in the 100m and his 200m pet event along with Olympic and World Championship titles to go along with those, is there anything left to motivate the big Jamaican; more world records, more medals?

"When you have world records it's kind of hard to focus solely on trying to go faster," said Bolt yesterday, ahead of today's 200m appearance at the Zurich Diamond League meet in Switzerland.

"You never know what we might come up with. 'Let's try to run under 19 seconds, let's try to run 9.4, 9.3," added Bolt, whose 100m world record stands at 9.58 seconds with his 200m mark registered at 19.19.

Bolt, who responded to questions over whether or not he will feature at the World Championships in Moscow next year with a resounding 'most definitely,' admitted that he is, however, not sure which events he will compete in, in the Russian capital, noting that this is something to be decided between himself and his coach, Glen Mills.

"I will be saying long jump, he'll probably be saying 400 metres," said Bolt. "I'm not sure what I'm going to do next season. We have to work all that out first."

That's all in the future though, Bolt's present is today's race in Zurich before he closes out his European tour with a 100m run in Brussels on September 7.
