Dear Pastor,
I have a boyfriend and we are together for four years but I did not know that he had a girlfriend who is living abroad. This girl came down to visit him. And while she was here, I couldn't find him until she went away. When I saw him he told me that his mother was ill and he got an urgent message that she wanted to see him, so he went to country. I asked him why he didn't call me and he said that the battery in his cell phone went dead and he didn't want to borrow anybody's phone to call me. I did not believe him, so we had an argument and we broke up. After two weeks he came begging me to take him back and he told me the truth. He told me that the girl wants them to get married but he doesn't love her. But he said he would do it and then divorce her and come back to marry me. I don't know what to tell him. So, pastor, please give me your advice. A.S., St Catherine Dear A.S., This guy is a liar. He has lied to you about his whereabouts and now he is telling you that he does not love the young woman but they are planning to get married. What he is really saying to you is that he wants to live abroad. This talk about divorcing her and coming back to you is nonsense. That may never happen. He is telling you that so that you will allow him to stay with you until he leaves the country. You should end the relationship with him now. He is trying to make a fool of you. Perhaps he is already married to the young woman. Many women come from abroad and marry men quietly and not many people were aware of it. Pastor |
