Cops probing ganja find |
|||||
The police say they are continuing their probe into the seizure of more than 1,400 pounds (636 kilograms) of ganja in Kingston. The police say the weed, with a street value of $1.4 million, was found in a Toyota Hiace van on Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 11, on Sunday. It is reported that about 1:30 p.m., a team of officers was on an operation in the area when they intercepted a Toyota Hiace van. The police say two men ran from the vehicle and escaped into a nearby community. The vehicle was subsequently searched and 43 carton boxes containing parcels of compressed ganja was reportedly found. |
