Crotch kick used to punish thug

A 21-year-old man has become an example of what not to do in an east Kingston community after thugs ordered he be kicked on the genitals as punishment for allegedly trying to have sex with a minor.

Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that the man, who hails from St Catherine but has been living in the community some five months now, was initially warned by men who brought him there to stay away from the underage girls.

However, about three weeks ago, he was reportedly spotted walking with a 14-year-old girl and was subsequently ordered to visit the community enforcers who quizzed him as to his intentions with the student.

The man reportedly told 'investigators' that he was asking the girl to upload a photograph to popular social networking site Facebook as he was not the most tech-savvy individual.

Further information is that last weekend, the man was spotted with the girl yet again, this time as they sat under a tree.

The news team was told that the 14-year-old girl was seen later on that same day and when questioned by other men from the community, confessed to them that she was planning to have sex with the man. She further claimed that he paid her $4,000 and even presented the sum of money as evidence.

The man was given the ultimatum of getting kicked in the genitals or face the possibility of being shot. He reportedly chose to be kicked, and later had to seek medical attention.

"When di girl show di man dem di money dem jus' sen fi him and mek him know seh di girl buss out everything. Is one or di other, worse di girl madda did hear di argument and did a threaten fi carry him go station," another thug explained.

"Wi nuh too want nuh police attention suh a betta we deal wid it our way, and teach him a lesson for others to see," the thug added.

It was heard that the man's punishment was carried out in the presence of a group of about 25 residents who applauded the efforts of the community thugs for trying to protect the schoolgirl.

"It sound like a wicked ting, but wah him do a wicked ting to. A money him a use fi tek weh di girl's innocence and dat nuh right. A chop dem shoulda chop it off," one woman loudly declared.

The east Kingston police told THE WEEKEND STAR they had not heard about the incident. Nevertheless, they were quick to point out the danger in such a case.

"We like to hear about people protecting our kids' interest but there is a right and a wrong way to do things. What if that man died or got seriously injured when he was kicked? Then he wouldn't be the only one in trouble," reasoned a senior officer.
