Eight nabbed for alleged lottery scam involvement |

Andre Williams, STAR Writer The Lottery Scam Task Force have netted eight persons believed to be involved in the unlawful practice, THE WEEKEND STAR discovered. Information reaching our news team is that the eight, males and females included, are now in custody following three raids by the task force yesterday morning. The raids were carried out in three communities across the parish of St James. The WEEKEND STAR was informed that the operation began about 4 a.m. yesterday and took the lawmen to Lilliput, Bogue Village and Red Ground, all in the parish. Several items, including cash (Jamaican and United States dollars), cigars, motorcycles and motor vehicles were seized in the operation The identities of those in custody are being withheld pending further investigations. |
