Men charged with larceny remanded

Four men charged with larceny of motor vehicle and receiving stolen property, were on Wednesday remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

They return on August 27.

The men are Anthony Wilson, Brendon Henderson, Jermaine Seil and Daniel Simpson, who were all ordered fingerprinted by Resident Magistrate Grace Henry-McKenzie.

The court heard that on August 10, the police were on patrol when they spotted the four men in Plantain Heights in the Belvedere district on an open lot, scrapping a motor vehicle.

Resident Magistrate Henry-McKenzie enquired of the investigating officers whether bail was being opposed, and was told that it should be denied, since they are investigating other incident of motor vehicle theft in which the men are allegedly involved.

The matter was subsequently set for mention in late August.
